Athboy Convent Community Centre: A Place for All

Athboy Community Centre strives to improve the quality of life and social welfare of our Community by providing opportunities for learning, leisure, support, and knowledge sharing. With a deep understanding and appreciation of the unique needs and values of the local area, we strive to continuously improve and innovate our offerings to best serve our community. Our goal is to foster inclusivity through various activities that cater to the educational, vocational, health, cultural, social, and recreational needs of our local residents.

Groups/classes at Athboy CCC

There are a variety of classes and groups offered at Athboy CCC. These include the Men’s Shed, Autism Support Group, Athboy Women’s Group, Little Buddhas Yoga, and Mindfulness classes. Each group provides a supportive and welcoming environment for individuals to come together and pursue their interests.

Athboy Women's Group

This is a group that meets weekly to chat, do crafts & listen to speakers. It is made up of local women who enjoy the social support that the group gives, it is a relaxed atmosphere, women pass on skills to one another and enjoy a cuppa and a chat.

Athboy Pickleball

Pickleball is a fantastic sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. The rules are easy to learn and the game provides a great workout while being easy on the joints.

Athboy Men's Shed

The Men's shed is community based non-profit organisation that provides a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where men can connect, share skills, and build friendships.

Athboy Autism Support Group

We are a voluntary parent led group. We offer a support network to autism families. Our meet ups are fun + safe within our indoor space, outdoor play area + sensory garden + sensory corner.

Athboy/Kells Badminton

We are a badminton sports club. We cater for adult players of all standards, from beginner to experienced. Many of our members play competitively, while others join us for exercise and social games. Our teams participate in many different grades in the Meath League.

Special Hands Activity Group

Special Hand Activity Group is a volunteer community run by parents of our members. We plan activities and social events for children and young adults with additional needs. Our goal is to create a welcoming and supportive space for everyone.

DN Health & Safety Training

We offer a range of training courses designed to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to handle emergency situations. From PHECC certified First Aid response training to Basic First Aid CPR/AED training.

Ease Tai Chi

At Ease Tai Chi, we invite you on a journey of self-discovery and holistic well-being through the ancient art of Tai Chi. Rooted in Chinese martial arts, Tai Chi is renowned for its graceful and meditative movements that seamlessly blend mind, body, and spirit.
